The Bovril Sisters

Isle of Wight Jazz Festival

We had a great time in the Isle of Wight again. Although we were here there and everywhere we did manage to get in to see some great musicians at work. Cleo Laine and Johnney Dankworth were inspiring...

A big hi to everyone there we met!

Well, we did this gig and it was fab. Hattie Hayridge was sooo nice and we ended up doing a combined spot together at the end of the show. Great audience and a good time was had by all...

UPDATE
The Isle of Wight Jazz Festival seems to be going from strength to strength. We had a lovely time singing acoustically in a variety of the smaller venues and we met so many jazz lovers who loved the Boswell sisters as much as we do!

Isle of Wight Jazz Festival 7 - 9 April 2006

The Bovril Sisters - Brecon Jazz Festival 2005.. Brecon Jazz Festival 2005

Brecon Jazz Festival August 2005

We were there... Although you can't see it in this picture we were performing on an uncovered stage in the rain. 'The show must go on' as they say and we did live to tell the tale! We were even on the telly! (BBC Wales)

Brecon Jazz festival has a great atmosphere and we had a great time both performing and watching other musicians play. If you love jazz (of all sorts) then a visit to Brecon jazz festival will not disappoint.

Reviews
"The Bovril Sisters (Saturday) - one of the highlights of the Festival 'fringe' - they performed short half hour sets at various venues throughout the weekend. Three ladies authentically dressed in WAAF uniforms - a vocal harmony group re-creating the the thirties repertoire of the Boswell Sisters. Very popular."

"The Bovril Sisters had the whole town covered in their land girls or wartime WAF uniforms to rave reviews"
